The Solid Ground story is really one of healing, redemption, restoration and a lot of miracles. I think we all know that life is just hard sometimes. We all endure some form of trials, and painful situations. How we walk through those trials, and how we learn to cope, can have a huge impact on our emotional, mental, and even physical health. For me, the healing has always involved horses and the ranch.

I grew up riding, and showing Paint horses my entire childhood, and young adult life. Later I became a Registered Nurse, and focused on raising 4 amazing sons. During this time, as life goes, there were also some painful trials and times of deep loss. I found working a lot, and staying busy, seemed to be a good distraction, though maybe not the healthiest way to heal.

I was soon introduced to therapeutic horse riding. Simply put, it was the use of horses to assist in the healing of emotional, mental and physical challenges. It became a dream of mine to open a center, and provide services here in Klamath falls. God gave me a very clear vision, but that vision would take a miracle to happen. That is exactly what occurred.

Solid Ground was birthed from that miracle. What started from a cattle pasture, one horse and no money, soon became the amazing therapeutic center it is today. The very ranch I was raised on became something I could share with others. God gave the vision, opened the doors, and I simply followed that vision set before me. My prayer has always been that this would be a place of healing and miracles. The desire of my heart is just to honor God in all I do, and use horses to give hope, encouragement, love and support to others on their journey to healing and wellness.
